About the Role:
ABC Parking Lot Services LLC is looking for a skilled Roller Operator to join our hardworking crew in Pontiac, MI! This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of a team that takes pride in delivering smooth, high-quality paving results for customers across the region. Responsibilities:
- Operate vibratory or static rollers to compact asphalt and base materials on parking lots and paved surfaces
- Work alongside paving crews to ensure proper compaction density and smooth surface finishes
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on roller equipment
- Follow job site safety protocols and traffic control procedures
- Communicate effectively with crew leaders and flaggers to coordinate paving operations
- Maintain awareness of grade, slope, and surface quality during compaction passes
- Keep equipment clean and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor
Requirements:
- Prior experience operating a roller, paver
- Basic understanding of asphalt compaction techniques and paving operations
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Valid driver's license preferred; ability to travel to local job sites required
- OSHA or equipment safety certifications a plus
